Undeanatured Alcohol (ENA) is an ethanol grade of 96% purity or higher. It’s main use is as the base ingredient in the production of alcoholic spirits. ENA can be manufactured from any organic material containing sucrose, which is metabolized into ethanol. These include, rice, millet, barley, wheat and sugar cane (molasses). In recent years the demand for molasses has been spurred by its slightly lower price, however its pungent aroma is not suitable for all products, and grain derived ENA is preferred for drinks which require a neutral nasal note, such as vodka, whisky and gin. Alcoholic beverages incl. whisky, rum, vodka, gin, cane, liqueurs and alcoholic fruit beverages.The Extra Neutral alcohol or ENA is a high distillated alcohol without any impurities and others destined to be used in the high cosmetic industry, perfumeries as well as for the production of alcoholic beverages such as whisky, vodka, gin, cane, liqueurs and alcoholic fruit beverages and aperitifs. It should be noted that for alcoholic beverage only alcohol produced from fermentation origin are allowed to be used in such applications.
